Barrie is Managing Director for Ventilux UK and is based in the company’s UK subsidiary in Merseyside. He started his career in 1998 based in the company’s Dun Laoghaire headquarters. His remit was to gain a full functioning knowledge of all departments from the production floor through to service and export sales departments.
He spent 2 years gaining product, and production, knowledge and then moved into the service department for a further 2 year period, at the end of which he became the Service Manager.
In 2004 He was promoted to the Export Sales manager tasked with increasing sales and closely managing new accounts outside of the domestic territory. This was a role that allowed Barrie to fully utilise his strong company and market knowledge and the positive results ensure that Barrie was further promoted to the Managing Director of the companies’ UK division, at that time-based in Southern England.
Barrie restructured the UK division and focused on customer service, product quality and project management. With the emphasis returned to the customer and marketplace, the turnover increased steadily over the coming years.
Barrie’s strengths lie firmly in strategic management and his high-level commercial market knowledge have ensured the UK division of Ventilux continues to grow and Ventilux products are specified for many high profile projects across the UK.
With 15 years’ experience and a true understanding of how all company departments and sites operate Barrie is very much a key member of the Ventilux senior management and focuses on strategic company growth.
