Daniel Egan - Quality Assurance Manager

About Daniel

Daniel Egan joined VENTILUX as a general operative in 1985.

Ventilux had just been founded, and at that time there were just seven members of staff. In these early years, and this small setting, it was necessary for all staff to be fully au-fait with the VENTILUX product range, from assembly to testing, through to packing. Dan welcomed this opportunity to learn new skills and soon afterwards became involved in the service and commissioning of emergency lighting. During the next number of years, Dan travelled the country in his role as VENTILUX Service Engineer and values the experience which this role brought. During this time, Dan also achieved Parts 1 and 2 of City and Guilds Electronics Servicing.

In January 2004 Dan assumed the role of Quality Assurance Manager, and to prepare himself for this role, Dan completed a ’Lead Auditor’ course, and has, since 2004, been primarily responsible for the retention of the ISO9001 Standard for Quality Management Systems, which VENTILUX first attained in 1993. Dan, however, is still very ‘hands on’, and is constantly involved in product development and improvement, troubleshooting, dealing with customer queries, and all of the many other interesting aspects of daily life in VENTILUX.
